Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will be conducted on 28 September 2014 for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wing of the NDA for the 134th course, and for the 96th Indian Naval Academy (INAC) commencing from 02 July 2015.
The approximate number of vacancies to be filled on the results of this examination will be as :
National Defence Academy : 320 Vacancies (208 for Army, 42 for Navy and 70 for Air Force)
Naval Academy [10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme] : 55 (Total 375 Vacancies)
Conditions of Eligibilty
Candidate must be a citizen of India, or a subject of Bhutan or Nepal or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently setting in India.
Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status
Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January 1996 and not later than 1st January 1999 are eligible.
(1) For Army wing of National Defence Academy :-
12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a state Education Board or a University.
(2) For Air Force and Naval wings :-
For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 cadet entry scheme at the Indian Navel Academy – 12th class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a state education board or a University.
Such candidates who qualify the SSB interview but could not produce Matriculation/10+2 certificate in original at the time of SSB interview should forward duly attested photocopies to Director General of Recruiting, New Delhi.
Candidates appearing in the 11th class exam are not eligible for this examination.
Those candidates who have yet to qualify in the 12th class or equivalent examination and are allowed to appear in the UPSC Examination.
Those candidates who have failed INSB/PABT earlier are not eligible for Air Force.
Candidates must be physical fit according to physical standards for admission to National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2014 .
1. A Candidate who has resigned or withdrawn on disciplinary grounds from any of the training academies of Armed Forces is not eligible to apply.
