Officers and Office Assistants in Regional Rural Banks (RRBs)

Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) recruitment for Group “A” – Officers and Group “B” – Office Assistants (Multipurpose) will be conducted online by the IBPS in September 2014. The Common Examination for recruitment of Officers and Office Assistants (Multipurpose) in Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) has been notified by NABARD and approved by the Government of India.

A candidate can apply for the Post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and can also apply for
the Post of Officer, but Candidates have to apply separately and pay fees separately for each post applied for.

Eligibility Criteria

Age

Age (As on 01.06.2014)

For Officer Scale- III

Above 21 years – Below 40 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.06.1974 and later than 31.05.1993 (both dates inclusive).

For Officer Scale- II

Above 21 years – Below 32 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.06.1982 and later than 31.05.1993 (both dates inclusive).

For Officer Scale- I

Above 18 years – Below 28 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.06.1986 and later than 31.05.1996 (both dates inclusive)

Age relaxation : [Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (5 Years), OBC (3 Years), Persons With Disability (10 Years), Ex-Servicemen/ Disabled Ex-Servicemen (3 Years & 8 Years), Ex- servicemen commissioned officers (5 Years), Widows, Divorced women and women legally separated from their husbands who have not remarried (9 Years)].

Candidates seeking age relaxation will be required to submit copies of necessary certificate(s) at the time of Interview

Educational Qualifications & Experience

1. Office Assistant (Multipurpose)

(a) Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent.

(b) Knowledge of Computer skills (Desirable).

2. Officer Scale-I

(a) Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent;

Preference: [Having degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy].

(b) Computer knowledge or awareness will be an added qualification.

3. Officer Scale-II (General Banking Officer)

(a) Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

(Preference will be given to the candidates having degree in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy).

(b) Experience : Two years as an officer in a Bank or Financial Institution.

4. Officer Scale-II (Specialist Officers)

(i) Information Technology Officer :

(a) Degree from a recognised University in Electronics / Communication / Computer Science / Information Technology or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Desirable: Certificate in ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC, OCP etc.

(b) Experience : One Year

(ii) Chartered Accountant :

(a) Certified Associate (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

(b) Experience : One Year

(iii) Law Officer :

(a) Degree from a recognized University in Law or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

(b) Experience : Two years as an advocate or should have worked as Law Officer in Banks or Financial Institutions for a period not less than two years.

(iv) Treasury Manager :

(a) Certified Associate (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or MBA in Finance from a recognized university/institution.

(b) Experience : One Year

(v) Marketing Officer :

(a) MBA in Marketing from a recognized university

(b) Experience : One Year

(vi) Agricultural Officer :

(a) Degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Dairy/ Animal Husbandry/Forestry/ Veterinary Science/ Agricultural Engineering/Pisciculture from a recognized university or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

(b) Experience : Two Year

5. Officer Scale-III

(a) Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate Preference will be given to the candidates having Degree/Diploma in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Co-operation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy

(b) Experience : Minimum 5 years experience as an Officer in a Bank or Financial Institutions.

Note: All educational qualifications should be from a recognised university/ Board.

Officer (Scale I, II & III)

(a) Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates.

(b) Rs. 600/- for all others

Office Assistant (Multipurpose)

(a) Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/PWD/EXSM candidates.

(b) Rs. 600/- for all others

Bank Transaction charges for Offline/ Online Payment of fees/ intimation charges will have to be borne by the candidate

Penalty for wrong Answers

There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question

for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. there will be no penalty for question is left blank

Cutoff Score

Each candidate will have to secure a minimum score in each test and also on total.

How to Apply

Before applying online, candidates should –

(a) scan their photograph and signature ensuring that both the photograph and signature (specifications available in the official website).

(b) Keep the necessary details/documents ready if it is desired to make Online Payment of the requisite application fee/ intimation charges.

(c) have a valid personal email ID, which should be kept active till the declaration of results of this round of CWE. IBPS may send call letters for the Examination etc.
